Illinois State Initiative
Illinois has made Work-Based Learning a statewide priority. BPS 101 is building the regional model — and local businesses are the backbone of it.
ISBE now requires CTE programs to document Work-Based Learning activities. BPS 101 is ahead of the curve — and your business can be part of the solution, not the problem.
Illinois employers consistently report difficulty finding workers with basic professional competencies. WBL builds those competencies — right here in Batavia, with students who may one day work for you.
Work-Based Learning spans the full K–12 experience — from career awareness in middle school to hands-on field placements for juniors and seniors. Your business can engage at any point.
Our Commitment
The old system rewarded students with connections—parents who owned businesses, family friends in the right industries. If you didn't have those networks, you didn't get the experience.
Work-Based Learning at BPS 101 changes that equation. We build the partnerships. We provide the coaching. We create pathways that don't depend on who your parents know.
State-aligned, equity-centered, and community-driven
